Wildlife and Nomads: Conservation Challenges on the High Tibetan Plateau
George B. Schaller Ph.D., field biologist with Panthera and the Wildlife Conservation Society, based in New York, has studied wildlife on the high Tibetan Plateau for a quarter century and promoted its conservation in cooperation with the local people and the government. Join him as he describes this remote and uniquely beautiful part of the world which few outsiders have seen. Schaller will be available following the lecture to sign his book Tibet Wild: A Naturalist’s Journeys on the Roof of the World.

Through narratives and striking photographs, learn about the challenges facing protected areas in Tibet, East Africa, Italy, Amazonia, and Australia.
