National Trails Day

Celebrate National Trails Day by working alongside park staff to maintain trails and restore trailside habitat, forest, and landscaped areas.
Ridge Trail Day 2017

The Presidio Trust partners with the Bay Area Ridge Trail Council and REI to build and improve sections of the Bay Area Ridge Trail in the Presidio. Ridge Trail Day is the Bay Area Ridge Trail Council's largest event, with hundreds of volunteers participating around the region!
Presidio Planting Day 2017!

Kick-off planting season with us at this big, annual volunteer event. Our goal for the morning is to plant over 1,000 native wetland plants in the
Tennessee Hollow Watershed. Help us make this big, audacious goal a reality!
MLK Volunteer Day of Service 2018!

Commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day by taking care of the Presidio. This event features habitat, forest, and garden stewardship projects in and around the Presidio's Fort Scott District.
Presidio Earth Day Celebration!

Join us for Presidio's annual volunteer event devoted to celebrating Earth Day! This day of service is part of Earth Week festivities happening all around the Golden Gate National Recreational Area. This event is free, and open to the public. All ages welcome!
"Back into the Earth" Day!
Saturday, April 21, 9 am to Noon
Join the archaeology team as they get "back into the earth" and kick off the 2018 excavation season! This is your chance to get dirty with the archaeologists by helping to remove the sand that protects the site during the off-season. Don't worry, we'll provide the shovels.
Presidio Nature Challenge!

The Presidio Nature Challenge is a chance to see and record the many wild plants and animals that still thrive in the Presidio. This BioBlitz will pair volunteers with professional naturalists on a scientific adventure through the Presidio’s wildest places. All of the observations recorded during the day will help San Francisco win the
2018 City Nature Challenge - a competition between more than 60 cities worldwide to see who can make the most observations of nature, find the most species, and engage the most people. This event is free, and open to the public. Adults and families welcome.
