The Presidio Nursery grows 80,000 plants each year. Volunteers care for native plants and are part of a thriving community-based restoration program working to restore the Presidio. Activities include transplanting seedlings, pruning, composting, seed collecting, and taking care of the Nursery’s native plant demonstration garden. The Nursery program is led by the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the Presidio Trust, and National Park Service.
