Presidio Hills
Presidio Transit Center
MUNI 43-Masonic: Both routes begin and end at the Presidio Transit Center, which is served by the MUNI 43 in two directions.
Inbound to Fort Mason: The 43 Inbound makes stops at the Thoreau Center and Lettterman Digital Arts Center before exiting the Presidio onto Lombard Street. Use this bus for transportation to the Marina District and Fort Mason.
Outbound to Munich + Geneva: The 43 Outbound makes a couple stops on Presidio Blvd within the park before exiting into the Pacific Heights district. It makes stops along Masonic Avenue, including the Panhandle, Haight-Ashbury, and Cole Street, which is just two blocks from Golden Gate Park. It continues through Inner Sunset, Forest Hill and terminates in Crocker-Amazon.

MUNI 33-Ashbury/19th: If you walk out the Arguello Gate and down couple blocks to California Avenue and Arguello Blvd, there is a stop for the MUNI 33. This is about a 10 minute walk. The MUNI 33 serves Haight Ashbury, the Castro, the Mission, a​nd Potrero Hill.
MUNI 1-California: Outside the Arguello Gate on California Avenue there is a stop for the MUNI 1. This bus route serves Pacific Heights, Nob Hill, and Financial District.
MUNI 44-O’Shaughnessy: A couple blocks outside the 14th Avenue Gate is a stop for the MUNI 44. The 44 makes stops inside of Golden Gate Park and just outside the de Young Museum and the California Academy of Sciences. It also stops in the Inner Sunset, Diamond Heights, Portola, and Hunters Point.
25th Avenue Gate
MUNI 29-Sunset: Just across the street from the 25th Avenue Gate stop is the start of the MUNI 29 line. The MUNI 29 stops near Golden Gate Park and the San Francisco Zoo as well as serving the Outer Richmond, Outer Sunset, Ingleside, the Excelsior and Bayview.
Public Health Service District
MUNI 28R-19th Avenue Rapid: Just outside the 14th Avenue Gate on California Street and Park Presidio Blvd there is a 28R stop. The 28R stops just outside Golden Gate Park, near the de Young Museum and the California Academy of Sciences and also serves the Sunset and Ingleside districts.

MUNI 28-19th Avenue: Catch the MUNI 28 in front the Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center. Pay attention to the destination sign on top of the bus: both directions use the same bus stop. Take the bus Inbound to North Point + Van Ness for service to the Marina along Lombard Street or to be dropped off near Fort Mason and Fisherman’s Wharf. Take the bus Outbound to Daly City BART for service to the Richmond District, Golden Gate Park, the Sunset, and Daly City.
MUNI 76X-Marin Headlands Express (weekends only): Use this bus to cross the Golden Gate Bridge to another part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, the Marin Headlands. This bus only runs on a limited schedule weekends and select holidays. It makes multiple stops including at the Marin Headlands Visitors Center.
Golden Gate Transit: Many of Golden Gate Transit’s bus lines serve this stop including routes 2, 4, 8, 18, 24, 27, 30, 38, 44, 54, 56, 58, 70, 72, 72X, 74, 76, 92, 93, 97, 101, 101X. These bus routes serve most cities in Marin County, north of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Crissy Field Center
MUNI 30-Stockton: Exit the Presidio onto Marina Blvd and walk up to Jefferson Street and Broderick Street to catch the MUNI 30. This bus stops near Fort Mason and Fisherman’s Wharf, serves North Beach, Chinatown, Union Square, and the Caltrain Station.
