NEW LEASING OPPORTUNITY AT THE GORGAS RAIL COMPLEX – December 2019 Occupancy
The Presidio Trust is pleased to announce the availability of space within newly renovated historic warehouses in the Letterman District, one of the most accessible and desirable areas of the Presidio, a national park at San Francisco’s Golden Gate.
The Gorgas Rail Complex is comprised of seven historic buildings located in the northeast corner of the Presidio. The majority of the former warehouses were built in 1919 along a Gorgas Avenue rail line that was used to transport goods and supplies to Letterman Hospital when the Presidio was a U.S. Army post. The train tracks have been removed but the rail line history remains evident in the unique character of the buildings.
Suites within three buildings in the complex are offered for office or health and fitness uses. Buildings 1163, 1167 and 1170 each measure approximately 60’ x 200’. Total spaces offered for lease measure 34,906 square feet.
The buildings feature open interiors with high exposed beam ceilings and ample natural light from windows and skylights. The complex’s historical character provides a unique adaptive-reuse commercial space opportunity.
All spaces will be delivered in a finished, move-in condition. Improvements include new lighting, electrical, heating and ventilation, painted walls, refinished wood floors, skylights, and new or restored windows along with new common area restrooms.
The Gorgas Rail Complex is conveniently located beside the new Presidio Parkway with easy access to the Golden Gate Bridge, the beautiful open spaces at Crissy Field, park trails, and the Chestnut Street retail corridor. The free
PresidiGo Shuttle offers daily service to regional transit connections in downtown San Francisco. Muni and other public transit stops are within walking distance.
