San Francisco CrossFit was founded in the Presidio in December 2005 and is one of the first CrossFit-affiliated gyms in the world. It offers a well-rounded strength and conditioning program first developed by CrossFit founder Greg Glassman.
Unlike a typical gym, San Francisco CrossFit doesn't have self-service exercise machines. Instead, it offers a high-intensity, full-body workout program led by world-class coaches with an emphasis in proper technique to help you reach your fitness potential. Workouts are varied and challenging, using kettlebells, barbells, medicine balls, sleds, and your own body to improve strength, stamina, balance, and overall well-being. San Francisco CrossFit offers one-on-one coaching, group classes, and a variety of specialty programs.
As workouts are scaled and modified for each client's fitness abilities, all levels of fitness are welcome here, including kids and teens, and people with physical disabilities or injuries. San Francisco CrossFit also offers bodywork, yoga, nutrition programs, and movement dysfunction and injury consultations.
San Francisco CrossFit has a diverse, supportive, and inclusive community of members from all walks of life and all parts of the city. Members of other CrossFit affiliated gyms are welcome to drop in to regularly-scheduled Level 1 group classes here. Group classes start as early as 5:30 am and end as late as 8 pm.
San Francisco CrossFit is located in the northeastern Presidio on Gorgas Avenue. If taking public transit, there are several buses that will drop you off near the gym. Paid parking is available nearby.
