Staff Recommendation of Concept Proposals that Meet the Minimum Requirements of the Fort Winfield Scott Request for Concept Proposals

In January 2018, the Presidio Trust released a Request for Concept Proposals seeking a qualified organization to transform Fort Winfield Scott into a campus for one or more mission-driven organizations focused on addressing the significant environmental and/or social challenges of our time. Nine concept proposals were received​:

We invite written public comments on the concept proposals. All comments received by Tuesday, September 25, 2018 will be compiled and shared with the Presidio Trust Board of Directors. Written comments may be submitted:

Presidio Trust Public Board of Directors Meeting on September 27

The Presidio Trust board will consider the concept proposals at its Public Board of Directors Meeting, to be held at 4:30 pm on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at the P​residio Officers’ Club, 50 Moraga Avenue, on the Main Post of the Presidio of San Francisco. Nation​al Environ​mental Policy Act (NEPA) Scoping Period

The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) public scoping period for the Environmental Assessment (EA) will begin on September 28, the day after our board meets and makes its decision on if it will advance any of the teams to the Request for Proposals phase.​ View the notice of intent >>

We will host a public board meeting and NEPA Scoping Workshop on Thursday, October 18 at the Presidio Officers’ Club. At this meeting the selected teams will be available to talk with the public and answer any questions. The scoping period ends on November 16, 2018.

September 28, 2018: NEPA Scoping Period Begins

October 18, 2018: Presidio Trust Public Board of Directors Meeting/NEPA Scoping Workshop

November 16, 2018: NEPA Scoping Period Ends

January 15, 2019: Proposals in response to the Request for Proposals (RFP) are due.

January 24, 2019: Presidio Trust Public Board of Directors meeting – the Board will hear presentations from the teams invited to respond to the RFP and take public comment.

March 28, 2019: Presidio Trust Public Board of Directors meeting – Board is anticipated to select a finalist.
