Join Ranger Alejandra for a 1.5 mile leisurely stroll through the Presidio’s Main Post to explore the story of the African American "Buffalo Soldiers." Learn about their connection to the Presidio and other national parks, as well as their extraordinary contributions to our nation in a time of overt racism and segregation. We’ll discuss how their actions helped facilitate many freedoms we enjoy today, including taking a hike in your national park!
Reservations are required. Sponsored by the National Park Service. To register, please call the Presidio Visitor Center at (415) 561-4323.
