Thursday, Oct 11, 2018 Category Fort Winfield Scott; Park Management

At their September 2018 public meeting, the Presidio Trust Board of Directors advanced four teams to the next round of the competition to transform a historic site at the Golden Gate – Fort Winfield Scott – into a campus for environmental and/or social change. The teams have been invited to submit detailed plans early next year through a Request for Proposals process. The teams are:

Equity Community Builders and World Economic Forum
Campus for the Fourth Industrial Revolution
Would host non‐profits, technology organizations, academics, and others to address the effect of accelerating technological innovation on human needs.

California Clean Energy Fund and EPIC Institute
Epicenter for Climate Solutions
Would be a workplace and convening center to study climate change solutions focused on reducing energy use and lowering carbon levels around the world.

OpenAI and Kilroy Realty Corporation
Would be a center for research and advocacy focused on the potential and challenges of artificial intelligence, advocating for its use in positive ways.

WeWork Companies, Inc.
WeWork Campus at Fort Scott Would be a mixed‐use campus for social enterprises and non‐profits working on world changing ideas and social impact.

Now it’s time to hear from you! The Presidio Trust board is hosting a Thursday, October 18 public meeting and open house where all are welcome to meet the teams and share ideas for Fort Scott. This is your best chance to make your voice heard before proposals are due!

  • Meet the teams and tell them what you’d like to see in their proposals
  • Ask questions and share ideas
  • Tell the Presidio Trust what historic and environmental issues we should study

If you can’t make the meeting, ideas and comments can be sent by November 16, 2018 >>
