Presidio Kids - Holiday Lights: The Presidio’s Traditional Tree-Lighting Ceremony

Friday, Nov 22, 2019 Category Entertainment and Culture; Kids and Family

Holiday Lights is expanding this year! In addition to the tree lighting, the event will take place outside as a street fair and include lantern walks, holiday music and song from the SF Girls Chorus, hot chocolate from Johnny Doughnuts, grilled cheese from The Grilledcheezeguy, drinks from the Presidio’s own Fort Point Brewery, and free popcorn from Little Brothers Kettle Corn.

After the tree lighting, experience the magic and mystery of the Presidio’s forest at night with a lantern walk. Kids can make their own lantern at the free lantern making station. Enter at the “portal” at Funston Street and be sure to bring a flashlight! The event ends at 7 pm.

Looking to do some holiday shopping? Drop by early and fill your holiday stocking with special discounts on retail at the Presidio Visitor Center, open 10 am to 5 pm.
