The Presidio Trust, the National Park Service, and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy offer volunteer internships for motivated people looking for an opportunity to connect to the park while gaining specialized training in various aspects of park management. Volunteer interns serve full-time on a short-term or long-term basis and receive free housing and a stipend paid every two weeks.

Ecological Restoration Intern
The Presidio Trust currently has a position open for an intern to support Presidio community-based ecological restoration efforts for 10-12 months beginning as early as mid-March. Primary responsibilities include: supporting weekly volunteer programs and service projects for youth and adult groups; implementing key components of restoration action plans including invasive plant control and native plant community revegetation; managing a Presidio stewardship site; maintaining program tools, facilities, and equipment; conducting adaptive management and monitoring activities for plant, wildlife and/or water habitats; and assisting in educating volunteers on the concepts of ecological restoration, biodiversity, invasive species and conservation biology.
