Join the Presidio Plant Patrol team to eradicate noxious weeds that pose threats to the native biodiversity of Presidio plants and animals. Come participate in “extreme restoration” in some out-of-the-way natural areas and go after pampass grass, cape ivy, french broom, iceplant, and poison hemlock.
Fridays, 1 to 4 pm
Meet at 12:50 pm at the Presidio Transit Center. Volunteers will be transported by van to project sites.

How To Participate
Individuals and families or groups of 4 people or fewer are welcome to attend without pre-registration. Simply show up at the appropriate meeting location for sign in and asked to complete a waiver form (first visit only). Volunteers under 18 years must bring a waiver form signed by their parent/guardian. See below for details.
Groups of five people or more may require special arrangements and must be confirmed in advance. Visit Group Service Projects for details.
Volunteers ages 10 and up are welcome at all workdays. Every third Sunday of the month is a “Family Friendly” day when volunteers under age 10 can also participate from 10 to 11:30 am. If bringing youth under age 15 to any of the workdays, please read the Youth and Family Guidelines.
What to Wear
Be prepared! Wear clothes that can get dirty, layers for changing weather, and rain gear if necessary. Long pants and sturdy closed-toe shoes are required (no shorts or sandals). Bring a hat and/or sunglasses and wear sunscreen.
What to Bring
Bring the appropriate waiver forms (see below). Bring a reusable water bottle. Water stations will be available for refills. All necessary tools, supplies, and gloves will be provided.
No experience is necessary. Training will be provided.
This program is rain or shine. If it is raining, please bring rain gear.
Community Service Hours
This program fulfills community service requirements.
Youth/Adult: Complete the Volunteer Services Agreement. Volunteers under age 18 must have the parent/guardian approval section signed. Please bring the completed forms to the project.
