Environmental Service Learning in the Presidio

Volunteers care for a wide variety of habitats and other landscapes at the Presidio through the Presidio Park Stewards program. Service-based programs invite students to examine the relationship between the natural and urban worlds and contribute to San Francisco’s living natural history through habitat restoration and nursery work.
Through participation in authentic service learning projects in a local national park, students emerge with a deeper sense of place and the power to shape their park’s future in positive ways.
