Starbucks may be one of the most ubiquitous coffee shops in the world, but you’ve never seen one in such a beautiful national park setting.

Starbucks is just inside the Chestnut Gate pedestrian entrance to the Presidio in the Letterman Digital Arts Center (Building C). It’s a bright space with floor to ceiling windows and comfy seating.

Step outside to enjoy your coffee, breakfast, or lunch on the heated patio overlooking a beautiful 17-acre meadow. You’ll even see the iconic dome of the Palace of Fine Arts peeking through the trees. Free Wi-Fi is icing on the cake (or muffin, if you prefer).

One of the Many Restaurants in the Presidio

Starbucks is located at the Letterman Digital Arts Center, near the Chestnut Street pedestrian gate and the Lombard Gate to the Presidio. It’s a popular hangout for park employees and a surprising discovery for people needing a caffeine jolt during their park visit.

Great Presidio Food Options

If you’re looking for a casual, affordable meal, Starbucks is a great choice. For a sit-down option with a broader menu – including beers and cocktails – try Sessions at the Presidio right next door.

Order Online and Wi-Fi

This Starbucks location accepts mobile orders if you are in a rush. If you’re staying awhile, the location offers free Wi-Fi to customers.

Why We Love Starbucks

Starbucks is perfect for early risers, opening at 5:30 am on weekdays and 7 am on weekends. Or come back for an afternoon iced cappuccino to enjoy while walking through the large meadow designed by the late famed landscape architect Lawrence Halprin.

Accessibility at Starbucks

The Letterman Digital Arts Center visitor garage includes parking spaces for those with mobility limitations as well as an elevator that provides direct access to Building C where Starbucks is located.

Insider Tip

Starbucks is a short walk from the Yoda Fountain, a visitor favorite located in front of the Lucasfilm Ltd. headquarters in Building B at the Letterman Digital Arts Center. On weekdays, visitors can go inside the Lucasfilm lobby to explore Star Wars memorabilia like a life-size Darth Vader and curated collection of books that inspired George Lucas.
