The Presidio Trust is implementing a comprehensive transportation program which uses environmentally responsible strategies to improve mobility within the park, increase the use and availability of public transit and pedestrian and bicycle options, improve connections to regional transit, and make it easier for people to get around without a car
PresidiGo Shuttle
The PresidiGo Shuttle is a free “around the park” transportation service provided by the Presidio Trust. PresidiGo makes it easy for employees, residents, and visitors to travel around the Presidio and connect with regional public transit. It runs on a regular schedule seven days a week.
The clean fuel shuttle serves more than 40 destinations within the Presidio, linking workplaces, residential neighborhoods, and popular visitor attractions. It connects with regional public transit at several stops within the park, and offers bicycle racks for two-wheeled travelers. The shuttle service is available free of charge. A separate downtown shuttle connects employees with BART and the Transbay Terminal.
Public Transit and the Presidio Transit Center
The Presidio Trust works closely with MUNI, Golden Gate Transit, and other transit agencies to improve service to the Presidio. A variety of Public Transit options serve the park. The Presidio Trust has also opened a central Transit Center on the Main Post to offer a convenient and comfortable waiting area for commuters and visitors making transit connections at the park. The Center has a public restroom, a restaurant, and transit information.
Pedestrian and Bicycle Trails
The Presidio has an extensive trails network. The Presidio Trust is implementing a plan to improve and expand the system over the next several years. The League of American Cyclists has named the Presidio a Bicycle Friendly Community.
Transportation Services for Park Employers/Employees
The Presidio Trust works with park employers and employees to support alternative transportation. The Trust facilitates programs, benefits, and services including:
- Guaranteed Ride Home Program
- Carpool/Vanpool
- Bicycle Rack Program
- Lunchtime Shuttle
- Commuter Choice Incentives

The Trust also requires Presidio employers to participate in a park-wide Transportation Demand Management (TDM) program and provide services to encourage their employees to use alternative transportation.
