The Presidio Restoration Advisory Board is seeking Presidio residents or tenants who would like to work with us on environmental remediation at the Presidio. The Advisory Board meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at 7 pm. A scientific background is not required, just a curious mind and willingness to participate. For more, view the application.
Restoration Advisory Board (RAB)
In the 1990s, Restoration Advisory Boards (RABs) were created across the United States to provide public input on environmental cleanup at military bases. In 1994, the members of the Presidio's existing Technical Review Committee (TRC) became founding members of the new Presidio RAB.
The Presidio RAB is the principal forum in which people who reflect the community’s diverse interests meet with representatives of the Trust and other agencies to discuss and exchange information about the Presidio’s environmental cleanup program. The Presidio RAB fosters an open and interactive collaboration among community members, regulatory agencies, and public stakeholders. The goal is to facilitate responsible and informed decision making about Presidio environmental cleanup. View the Restoration Advisory Board bylaws and charter.
RAB Meetings and Membership
The Presidio RAB meets monthly. RAB meetings are public meetings, and all are welcome to attend. They are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Presidio Officers’ Club, 50 Moraga Avenue on the Main Post.
The Presidio RAB periodically solicits applications for new members. If you have questions about RAB meetings or membership, please contact the Trust’s Denise Fraga at (415) 561-2720.
