The Presidio Trust is pleased to offer the use of two buildings (each approximately 1,300 RSF) to provide programs in one or more of the following areas: environmental leadership, history and culture, or recreation and youth development. The two buildings are integral to each other and provide a combination of spaces that allow for office use, classroom presentations, and small assemblies. As a result, the buildings must be leased together. The Presidio Trust may elect to perform some cosmetic work and deferred maintenance to the buildings. Each building is single-story and faces a shared patio and garden area. Building 1539 has a kitchen large enough to accommodate group cooking and eating. Building 1599 has a large storage area as well as an assembly area. Each has offices and rest rooms with showers.
Proposed Uses: conference, educational and office with occasional overnight stays
Rent: market rent with deposit TBD
Term: three (3) years, subject to a landlord’s right to reduce size of space or relocate tenant
Location: 1539 and 1599 Pershing are located in the southwestern portion of the Presidio at the upper end of Baker Beach Housing. Served by both Muni and the free Presidio Shuttle, PresidiGo, the buildings are in a quiet part of the park with easy access to the 15th Avenue and 25th Avenue Gates, Baker Beach and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Selection Process: selection of the tenant will be based on the nature of the proposed program, tenant's history and duration, and tenant's compatibility with the mission of the Presidio Trust, as well as the economic terms proposed by the tenant. As the sole and final decision-maker for this selection, the Trust reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or terminate lease negotiations at any time.
