The Presidio Trust is now leasing 13 Funston Avenue, approximately 3,673 rentable square feet.
Funston Avenue – known as “Officers’ Row” – is the oldest intact streetscape in San Francisco and one of the park’s most beloved landscapes. Its wood-frame homes were built circa 1862 for U.S. Army officers and their families. This early use is apparent in the bright and inviting feeling each building displays.
13 Funston Avenue is a stand-alone, two-story building. It has been fully rehabilitated to meet contemporary business needs while maintaining its historic character and charm. The first floor features a foyer, central hallway, five large multi-use rooms, one small office, two kitchenettes, and two ADA accessible bathrooms. The second floor includes five rooms suitable for individual offices and two bathrooms.
Features include:
- Telecom and data wiring
- Hardwood floors throughout suite
- First floor decorative fireplaces
- Large bay windows
- Mechanical and plumbing upgrades
- New lighting and plumbing fixtures
- Special needs access and bathroom on the first floor
- Fire suppression/fire alarm systems
Funston Avenue is located on the Main Post, the “heart of the Presidio.” With more than 100 buildings, the Main Post is like a small town center that complements the park’s forest, trails, and wild open spaces. Its significant history, iconic buildings, and magnificent bay views create an inspiring and creative atmosphere.
The Presidio Trust is revitalizing the Main Post, bringing back its lively character and creating new opportunities for the community to experience its history and culture. The Main Parade Ground was recently re-landscaped as an inviting public open space. The Inn at the Presidio, the park’s first lodging facility, opens at the top of Funston Avenue in mid-2012. The Main Post also features a transit center, the Presidio Community YMCA, and restaurants, with new visitor destinations expected soon. The Crissy Field waterfront is a short distance to the north.
