Riley Avenue
A photo of a Riley Avenue brick home that is two stories and now used as a duplex. Each side has a white sun room addition.
Riley Avenue is a quaint historic streetscape tucked within the Main Post, the cultural heart of the Presidio. The neighborhood features twelve homes. Six two-bedroom residences were built in 1909 as senior officer housing and feature roomy front porches for enjoying the view of the Golden Gate Bridge and an enclosed back porch for laundry and storage. Six three-bedroom homes were built in 1931 as enlisted family housing and feature an enclosed sun porch and a formal dining room. They also feature basements for storage and laundry. Riley is an easy jumping-off point for enjoying the open spaces at Crissy Field, the historic treasures of the Main Post, and the Presidio’s extensive trail system.
