Visitor Events and Programs
Each year, the Lab sponsors and participates in public events that commemorate the Presidio’s past. During California Archaeology Month each October, the program hosts a lecture series featuring renowned archaeologists and historians. The annual Pasados del Presidio celebration in June commemorates the Presidio’s colonial history. Park archaeologists lead kids’ programs, host open excavations in the field, and invite visitors on walking tours. Events are listed in the Calendar.
