Volunteer Days at El Polín Spring
A group of volunteers plant native plants along the stone-laid gulch that runs beside the well at El Polin Spring.
Every fourth Saturday of the month is Volunteer Day at El Polín Spring.
Help enhance rare native plant habitat and create wildlife corridors at one of the Presidio's most special outdoor destinations. Volunteers learn about native plants, wildlife, and early Presidio history while working in scrub, grassland, woodland, and wetland habitats. Activities include invasive plant removal throughout the year and planting during the winter season. Training and snacks are provided.
Meeting Location + Time
Meet at the Presidio Transit Center (not at El Polín Spring) at 8:50 am. Volunteers are transported by van to the work site. See map to the right for directions.
