Several opportunities are available for volunteers interested in participating in the Trails Forever effort to maintain and enhance the Presidio’s extensive trail network. Trails Forever is a park-wide initiative sponsored by the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, National Park Service, and Presidio Trust.
PRESIDIO TRAIL CREW VOLUNTEERS
Monthly Volunteer Work Days
Every 2nd Tuesday of the month from 10 am to 1 pm, volunteers work alongside the Presidio Trust Trail Crew to repair and maintain Presidio trails. To participate, contact the Presidio Trust Volunteer Coordinator at (415) 561-5333 or volunteer@presidiotrust.gov. Meet at the Inspiration Point Overlook on Arguello Boulevard, just inside the Arguello Gate.
The 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 9 am to Noon, volunteers help maintain trails and construct new trails at various locations throughout the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Group Service Projects

National Trails Day

TEENS ON TRAILS
This program is designed specifically for teens, offering an opportunity for students ages 14 and up to help to maintain trails on school holidays. Programs take place in various locations throughout the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, occasionally in the Presidio.
