Weekly Volunteer Work Days

The National Park Service offers two weekly programs to help maintain the Presidio’s coastal areas. Projects include beach clean-ups, vegetation pruning, sand removal, and invasive weed removal. For more information, call (415) 447-9743 or email Laura_Elze@nps.gov.

• Crissy Field Landscape Maintenance Volunteer Program: Every Thursday, 9 am to Noon. Individuals and small groups of 10 or less.
• Area A Landscape Maintenance Volunteer Program: Every Saturday, 9 am to Noon. Individuals and small groups of 10 or less. Project locations include East Beach, Crissy Promenade, Crissy Airfield, and Baker Beach. Meeting locations vary.

Group Service Projects

Presidio Coastal Cleanup Day

On the third Saturday of every September, volunteers join in an effort to clean up trash along the Presidio’s coastline and waterways.
