The Presidio is one of the most recognizable places in the world. Its renowned Golden Gate Bridge vistas, fog-shrouded forests, quaint neighborhoods, wild natural places, and architectural gems are a beautiful backdrop for commercial film and photography projects. The park also offers production office space, short term parking, storage space, and cover set space.

The Presidio Trust Special Events Office manages commercial film projects on the Presidio’s interior lands (Area B on map below). Permits typically take three days to one week to process. Fees are based on the size, scope, and nature of the project.

Permits for Presidio Shoreline Areas
The National Park Service Special Park Uses Office issues commercial film permits for the open spaces along the Presidio’s western and northern shorelines (Area A). For information about commercial filming in those areas, call (415) 561-4302.
