Sells and coordinates events and meetings for the Hospitality Division; Sales, Marketing and Event Venue Section, to generate income for the Presidio Trust. Works with prospective clients to define scope of event, shows venues, writes permits, tracks event fees, coordinates building related event logistics, provides follow up with client upon event completion. Participates in and contributes to marketing activities in compliance with the Hospitality Division’s marketing strategy plan; develops marketing materials to promote public interest and generate revenue. Creates and maintains client/event file, Ungerboeck event software system and event calendars. Serves as primary contact for permitted events, ensuring excellent customer service, ensuring fees are timely collected and ensuring accounting documentation is complete; ensures clients abide by Special Use Permit rules, including historic and environmental guidelines. Attends industry events to market Presidio’s venues and other park uses.
Requires three years of sales experience in special events or other trade related business; strong verbal and written communication skills; strong work ethic and ability to be flexible and adapt with change; highly detail oriented; ability to multi-task; proficient with accounting principles; proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and event management software. Must possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license. Experience in coordinating events is desirable. Weekend and evening work required as needed. Full time position with benefits. Minimum salary is $47K per annum.
