Special Events Venue Assistant - 2 Positions
Serves as on-site house manager for special events, and works as scheduled on an intermittent basis, frequently on weekends and during evening hours. Works closely with permit holders from set-up through final check-out regarding logistics, caterers, fire safety, rental equipment set-up, venue cleaning, and maintenance. Serves as the primary on-site contact during permitted events, ensuring a high level of customer service projecting a positive image for the Presidio Trust.  Ensures that all rules and regulations identified in the special use permit issued for each venue are adhered to; assures that all historic and environmental guidelines for use and occupancy are adhered to; develops a basic familiarity with the physical plant of each venue and a working knowledge of on-the-spot solutions for typical maintenance issues such as burned out light bulbs, plugged toilets, and spilled liquids; opens and closes buildings, provides set-up and break down of standard event equipment and furnishings when needed. Comfortable business attire is required while on duty.  Weekend and evening work is required. This is a temporary position without benefits, not to exceed one year.
A current valid California driver’s license is required. Must be reliable, personable, and have the ability to meet and communicate with a diverse clientele.
