A decades-old Presidio tradition continues on Friday, December 7, with Holiday Lights, the park’s annual tree-lighting ceremony. The festivities begin along the Presidio’s oldest streetscape—historic Funston Avenue—at 5:30 pm and conclude with a special lantern walk through the historic forest. Music will be provided by Golden Gate Carolers. Gather across from the Presidio YMCA at the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and Funston Avenue on the Main Post.

Open House at Arion Press
If you’re looking for a special gift, check out check out Arion Press’s holiday open house from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, December 8. Arion Press is the nation’s largest fine printing facility. Presidio Dance Theatre
The "Land of Sweets" is a magical realm where Clara and The Nutcracker celebrate the holidays through dance. But what about the rest of world? Join Clara as she travels around the globe to see how people celebrate the holidays. Presidio Dance Theatre’s ballet production Beyond the Land of Sweets: Celebrating Holidays across Cultures begins at 5 pm on Sunday, December 9. Tickets are $50 for adults and $35 for children under 12, and can be purchased at www.cityboxoffice.com.
Christmas with Walt
Want a glimpse into Walt Disney’s life during the holidays? Visit the Walt Disney Family Museum at 1:30 pm daily (except Tuesdays and December 5 and 8) to see Christmas with Walt Disney, a film showing rare family footage and scenes from his television specials and vintage commercials.
Winter at the Y
For an active holiday experience, sign the kids up for the Presidio Y’s Winter Camp, to be held December 26-28, or come to Holiday Nature Art on Saturday, December 8 to take a short hike and learn about plants and animals in the Presidio. You can also give the gift of wellness.
Dine with Santa himself at the Presidio Golf Course Café! Visit with the jolly old elf from 9 am to noon on Saturday, December 15 while enjoying a family style breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit and more. Cost is $20 for adults, $8 for children 4-11 and free for Holiday treats can also be had at several restaurants around the Presidio, including Dixie and Presidio Social Club.
