Draft Presidio Trust Programmatic Agreement
Public Notification: Revision and Renewal of the Programmatic Agreement for the Presidio Trust Management Plan (PTPA)

The Presidio Trust, in cooperation with the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, the California State Historic Preservation Officer, the National Park Service, the Presidio Historical Association, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation, is in the process of revising and renewing its principal programmatic agreement, which governs the Trust's compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA).

The existing PTPA was adopted in 2002 and will expire at the end of 2013. The objective of this exercise is to clarify, update, and improve the document based on the Trust’s experience using the PTPA as a framework for reviewing historic preservation projects, such as the rehabilitation of more than 300 historic buildings, and to reflect current best practices for agency agreement documents.

In coordination with its partner agencies and organizations, the Presidio Trust has completed a revised draft of the document and is offering it for a 30-day public review. If you have any comments on or questions about the document, please contact Rob Thomson, Presidio Trust Deputy Federal Preservation Officer, at (415) 561-2758 or rthomson@presidiotrust.gov no later than Monday, December 16, 2013.
