Over the years, the Presidio Trust's Waste Reduction Team has combed through hundreds of park buildings collecting and cataloging thousands of discarded items. Their goal has been to find new uses for the items, keeping as much as possible out of landfills. The Waste Reduction Team is now seeking volunteers to help tidy up the Salvage Warehouse where these items are stored. Help organize their historic items collection, while learning about their unique waste diversion program that incorporates recycling and waste management with salvage, disposal and preservation of historic buildings. Ages 8 and up.
