Most Northern Californians know of the US military history of San Francisco's Presidio, but there is an earlier history - Spanish, Mexican and American - that begs to have its story told.
Join us to hear the typically "Californio" story of one branch of the Family Bernal who, like many others, triumphed over poverty and peonage to become owners, for a while at least, of more land in San Francisco than the Presidio itself. The lecture will be presented by University of San Francisco Advertising Program Director Greg Pabst.
