In a few short years, a dramatic new 10-acre bluff with breathtaking bay views will reconnect the Main Post to the Crissy Field waterfront. This future landscape – made possible because of the new Presidio Parkway approach to the Golden Gate Bridge – will become a signature entry point for visitors and offer exciting new ways for people to experience the park.
Join Michael Boland, Presidio Trust Chief of Planning, Projects, and Programs for a brief presentation about this transformational opportunity, followed by a walk to the bluff site. The walk will explore the potential of the area, which will include a new visitor center, and may feature gathering places for events, scenic overlooks, trailheads, play areas, gardens, and more.
Projects and programs are currently being developed in partnership with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and the National Park Service.
This program is part of Welcome to the Presidio: Presidio Milestones + the Next Chapter, a new exhibit on the Main Post that gives visitors a glimpse of the Presidio's past, present, and future.
