Ethereal, haunting tones, artfully and exquisitely rendered by the winds (and horn) of the
SF Bay Quintet, fill the air at the historic Golden Gate Club in an evening of elegant and virtuosic chamber music, including Carmen Suite, Pavane for a Dead Princess, Partita for Wind Quintet, and Wapango.
Also appearing on our program are acclaimed harpist Naomi Hoffmeyer, who will be performing Le Rossignol (Liszt) and Impromptu, Op. 86 (Fauré), joined by fellow San Francisco Conservatory of Music artist and classical guitarist Lyle Sheffler, performing Grand Solo, Op. 14 (Sor) and La Source du Lyson (Coste).
The program will be performed on Thursday and Friday, June 6 and 7, at 7:30 pm at the Presidio’s Golden Gate Club.
Suggested donation: $10 adults, $5 seniors and children.
