Picturing the Presidio
is a multi-faceted public art installation by photographer Lyle Gomes, presented in partnership with the Presidio Trust. It features emotive black and white images of the Presidio made by the artist during two decades of Presidio transformation. The exhibit is open from April 12 to October 31, 2014, and includes many components, including a series of free guided walks, photography classes, and other programs. Learn more >>
photographer Lyle Gomes will conduct a two-hour class on making better
pictures. The class will focus on “seeing” rather than the use of camera
equipment. Topics include: heightening your visual awareness; considering the
quality of light; creating strong visual relationships; common mistakes; and
the ingredients of a satisfying composition. The format of the class will be
slide/lecture combined with discussion and Q&A.
