Shakespeare on Tour Presents Julius Caesar

Shakespeare’s historical tale of politics and corruption in ancient Rome contains some of his most eloquent writing. Mark Antony’s stirring and powerful Friends, Romans, Countrymen speech along with Brutus’ struggle with his conscience and the thrilling final battle scenes have enthralled audiences for centuries. Shakespeare’s keen examination of political and personal downfalls, caused by pride, conspiracy and greed continues to fascinate audiences to this day.

The Presidio Trust invites you to a 55-minute family performance of Julius Caesar presented by the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival. Shakespeare on Tour is performed by a cast of professional actors in costume, with set, props, and recorded music. At the conclusion of the show the actors will take questions from the audience.
Following the performance enjoy PLAYSHOP, a free one-hour hands-on experience for kids and parents that will deepen your appreciation of the Bard. PLAYSHOP illuminates and underscores the concepts of Shakespearian drama and language. This participatory workshop includes games, activities, and text work designed to create a greater understanding and appreciation of theater.
No RSVP is needed for the performance, but space for PLAYSHOP after the performance is limited, so please RSVP to
